What is splento.ai?
A library of ready-to-post videos for restaurants, cafés and takeaways. Every video is already shot, edited and cut to a vertical 9:16 frame, so you download one and post it to Instagram Reels, TikTok, your Google Business Profile or your website — no shoot, no editing, no agency.
Is it really free?
Browsing the whole library is free and needs no account. On the free plan you can download two videos a week; they carry a small splento.ai watermark. Paid plans remove the watermark and raise the allowance — see plans and pricing.
How are the videos made?
They are made with AI and then checked by a person before they reach the library. Nothing is published automatically — that review is why you do not find clips with melting hands or a fork turning into a spoon.
Can I post them on my restaurant's channels?
Yes — that is what they are for. Videos you download are yours to post on your own channels: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, your Google Business Profile and your website. A video you have already downloaded stays yours even if you later change plan.
Can I use the videos commercially?
Yes — for your own business. When you download a video you get a worldwide, perpetual licence to use that copy to market your venue: social media, your website, in-venue screens, menus and paid advertising. Nobody comes back to you for rights afterwards, and a video stays licensed to you even if you later change or cancel your plan. Two limits worth knowing: the licence is non-exclusive, so the same video may be licensed to other businesses and you cannot resell the clips as stock on their own; and free-plan files keep their watermark — removing it is not allowed, upgrading is what gives you clean files. Do the videos show my actual dishes?
The library is organised by cuisine and dish type, so you pick the closest match to what you serve. If nothing fits, ask us for videos of your own menu — that request is a button on any video, and it reaches a human.
What happens to unused videos at the end of a month?
A paid plan's monthly allowance resets with each renewal and does not carry over. Videos you have already downloaded are unaffected — they stay yours. Free downloads reset every week.
How do I cancel?
On the plans page, on the card for your current plan. Nothing you already have is taken away: every video you have downloaded stays yours to keep and post, permanently. Your plan keeps working — and your remaining tokens stay spendable — until the end of the period you have already paid for, and that date is shown on the same card. Only then does an unused balance expire. Changing your card or downloading invoices lives on the billing page. There is no phone call and no retention script.
Do I need a card to start?
No. You can browse without an account at all, and the free downloads need only an email address to sign in — we use a one-time link instead of a password.
